If you really want to feel better and improve your health, you will do your best to get into a routine. In order to do this, at the start of each week, get out your calendar and decide when you are going to exercise. Plan your workout just like you plan your other appointments. Tell your spouse so they are prepared. Involve your kids, so they can tell you 100 times that today at 10 you planned to exercise. This means that you drop everything else and go workout. You are NOT going to get your to do list done and then workout, because that will rarely happen. You will go exercise, regardless of what is going on around you. Especially, when you are a mom, it is so easy to get distracted by everything else you need to do. Remind yourself that you need to exercise too. Exercise is just as important, if not more, as many other items on your list. Make sure it gets checked off each day. You will get more done the rest of the day, if you take the time to get moving.
You should also plan your meals for the week. This will help you eat better as well. It is easy to fall off the wagon and eat the wrong stuff when you haven’t planned. You should plan it all, not just dinners. Also plan lunches, snacks, breakfast, and drinks. You will be happy you took a few extra minutes to get yourself ready for the week.
Good luck this week and make it happen.
Enjoy today,
Kelley
