Happy Friday…the following post is from Day 9 of my 30 Day Journey of Motivation. I’m hoping for it to be ready by the end of the month to give away to everyone on my list as a thank you for supporting and following me.

“As long as you embrace struggle and mistakes, you can learn or achieve anything.”

Truth. Embrace struggles and you will become stronger. Embrace mistakes and you will learn from them. Regardless of how you ate in the past, including yesterday, or whether you worked out in the past, you are changing your future. Your priorities have changed and you are becoming the person you have always wanted to be. You are improving the quality of your life and inspiring others around you.

For today, you are going to make sure you are eating every few hours. You don’t want to skip meals. You want to be sure to eat all three meals, and have healthy snacks in between. Do your best not to stuff yourself.

Your metabolism is like a burning fire. It needs to be fueled every few hours to keep burning. If you skip meals, your metabolism will slow down, because it doesn’t have the fuel it needs to keep burning. If you skip breakfast, you are not giving your metabolism the fuel it needs to start burning again, so the metabolism slows. Then when you eat your next meal, your metabolism has a harder time getting going since it has slowed down.

Skipping meals leads to a slower metabolism and eventually weight gain. Not for you. From now on, you will have breakfast, lunch and dinner, and healthy snacks in between.

No matter how challenging the change is, you don’t want to look back with regret. This is your chance. You have chosen to read this because you want to feel better. You are on the path. Stay the course. Keep moving. Eat clean. Drink water. You got this.

Remember…change is difficult….but not changing is fatal.
