Are you taking care of yourself?

Are you taking care of yourself?

Think about it…I would bet you have several people close to you that talk about how tired they are, how they are dragging, aching, uncomfortable, irritable, moody, and the list goes on. I feel like I have had this conversation with many people close to me over the years, and many clients since I have been in the health and fitness industry. Many times the person just accepts it and moves on, when many times it can be small changes they could make. Are we that afraid to make a few changes to possibly change our life? I am not kidding. Many times it is just not wanting to make change.

Most times, if there isn’t a medical condition going on, there are a few changes that could make such a difference. Why is it so hard and why don’t people do it? Usually the simple fact of change. Change is a bit of work. Change disrupts your routine. Change is scary, because what if I don’t succeed. But, my friend, what if you don’t try?

Change can be simply amazing. Change just takes an open mind, which sometimes is the only thing holding us back. Why are we so close minded to something different and new? This is something that is common with us humans, and not just with our health. Come on…open your mind to something new.

I am a strong believer in making yourself feel better. Don’t settle. Many times, your doctor will say you are fine and go about your day. Some doctors might give you a some healthy advice, like getting better sleep, exercise, water or to try to eat healthier.

Over the last few years, I have been making small changes and I still am. I love working on my self. Every time I work on change, I open myself up to pure amazement and seeing myself, life and the endless possibilities.

When it comes to feeling better, I usually chat with the person for awhile to learn about their habits first. Again, I always recommend getting annual physicals, because I am a big believer in preventive health. If there isn’t an underlying medical condition, or before you jump to that conclusion, look at your habits first.

  • Are you getting good sleep on most nights?
  • Do you drink enough water throughout the day? You should drink half your weight in water. If you weigh 120, drink 60 oz. of water every day. If you are exercising and sweating a lot, you might need more.
  • What are your eating habits? Do you skip meals? Are you eating healthy? Describe your meals and snacks.
  • Do you eat a lot of sugar? Fake sugar?
  • Do you eat a lot of preservatives?
  • Are you exercising? 🙂
  • Are you taking a multivitamin?
  • Is there a huge stress in your life?
  • Do you pray?

This would be some of the initial things I would talk to a client about. Even changing one of these habits would improve your health. Yes, just one to start with, then move on to another.

I strongly believe that most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.

I absolutely agree. Don’t accept not feeling good. If it is something deeper, get help. This is your one life, take care of yourself and truly enjoy it. It is absolutely possible.

Please reach out to me if you feel overwhelmed, but know that you can feel better. I love helping people feel better. It has always been my passion.

Enjoy today!
