Side Planking Exercise with Weights

To all my Planking buddies out there… If you feel strong and confident in your front and side forearm plank, here is an added challenge for you. If you are still working on getting stronger, this is something for you to strive for. ????

You definitely want to feel comfortable in your side plank, before adding arms. Slowly try to see how your balance is by lifting your hand off the floor, little by little. This is a great exercise, without the weights as well. Just doing the arm motion, while in the plank, is the first step before adding the small weights. Be sure to stay lifted in your lower side, and don’t sink into your shoulder.

The best way to get stronger and more confident in your planks is……(drum roll please)….doing them consistently every day. ???? Remind yourself, this is one minute a day. You can give yourself one minute a day for a stronger core, that will provide much-needed support for your back.

If you need help getting started then check out my proper planking post.

Be sure to do the same exercise on both sides. I would love to hear how you are doing. Reply and let me know.

Enjoy your day and keep planking!
