One Thing Today

One Thing Today

When it comes to our health, many of us struggle to get going. I hear the same stories from many people over and over.

I can’t find the time.

I’m not sure where to start.

I’m going to start next week.

I’m going to start next month.

I’m not motivated.

Nobody is going to make you do it, but yourself, and nobody is going to do it for you.

Stop putting yourself on the back burner. Stop telling yourself the same story. You HAVE to break the cycle. You HAVE to create a new pattern. You HAVE to create a new story.

Listen, nobody overhauls their health in a day, a week, or even a month. But…YOU CAN make changes, and YOU will feel better. One change every day. Changing your habits one at a time.

Just start something today. You HAVE to DO something. Do one thing that will move you closer to better health. Small or big. One thing.

  • Take an action today. Any action.
  • Schedule time for yourself.
  • Go for a walk.
  • Start drinking more water.
  • Start a gratitude practice.
  • Meditate.
  • Say no to desserts.
  • Choose salad and grilled chicken.
  • Call that friend that wants to get going too and plan a walk.
  • Stretch.
  • Plank.
  • Go to a class at your gym.
  • Just go to the gym.
  • Remember your vitamins.
  • Read your bible.
  • Go on a bike ride with your kids.
  • Anything goes if it is a good choice for feeling good.

One thing for good vibes today. Just start. Then do one thing tomorrow too. One thing a day to get you going. One thing to feel good today.

YOU can do it. It is not about getting motivated…it is JUST about doing it. Everyday courage to do it. You CAN do this.

Start with one thing a day and let’s go from there. Decide right now what it will be. Then choose to find the courage to do it.

If you haven’t read Girl Wash Your Face, by Rachel Hollis, I strongly recommend it. Here is the audio version of one chapter from her book that changed me. It is about the lie that I will start tomorrow. Listen to it today.

Enjoy today,
