I am sure we can all relate to the stress that comes on during the holidays. All of the pressures can overwhelm us if we let them. Family, friends, gifts, parties, sugar, wrapping, baking and more. Every year I say that I want to enjoy the holiday more, embrace the meaning of the holiday, and not get so overwhelmed.
I LOVE this time of year, but not the stress, nor the expectations of gifts, and especially not the running around like crazy to do all things. THIS has become the norm for most, and we hear it from our friends more and more. This thing called life that we are doing, becomes faster every year, with more pressures and expectations than the last.
As usual, I am going to go against these pressures, and work to enjoy the moments, the meaning of the season, and what I know I truly value most. THIS is what I want to give my kids, and THIS can’t happen if I am not feeling my best.
This is always hard, so in order to keep me accountable, I am bringing you along, if you like. It is so easy to lose ourselves, and what makes us feel good during this time. It is the little things we need to keep doing to take care of ourselves in order to truly enjoy these times. Don’t stop the little things that make you feel good.
I am putting together a flexible schedule and some basic workouts to help me, and you, continue taking care of ourselves, while we enjoy the holidays this year. We have just over three weeks until Christmas. So enjoy your weekend, and get yourself in a good mindset to return to taking care of yourself next week.
This all kicks off on Monday, so be ready.
As a mom, I understand the struggles of balancing life. I'm here to help you thrive in health, fitness, and faith. Letβs walk this path together and embrace a life enriched by wellness and inspiration.
