Happy Monday! Here we go with Tip #5…Change your mindset! It is important to have goals, but you shouldn’t be on the scale or measuring yourself every single day. You have to break that cycle and change your focus. Focus on how you are feeling. Focus on your energy and your mood. Has your stress improved? It should have if you are consistently exercising and being active. You will change how you feel right away. That “high” you get from exercise can keep you going. Remind yourself that you are feeling good because you are exercising and taking care of yourself.
Your body craves to be challenged in any way. Most important, you are taking care of your body and improving your health. Over time, you can pay more attention to how your clothes fit, but you have to stop getting on the scale every day. The scale can be a source of frustration, rather than encouragement, because it rarely tells us what we want. Many times our ideal weight might not be realistic. Embrace the body you have and make your first priority to be healthier. The rest will come.
Change your focus. Change your mindset. Feeling good is what makes the day better and what keeps you going.
