Week 6….Encourage Others and Take time to Rest

WEEK 6

Short and sweet this week. I have so much I want to give you, but I know it has just been a lot of information in each post. I am going to break it up throughout the week.

I would love any feedback. This is the first accountability group I have done, and I want to improve it for next time. Please let me know any feedback that would be helpful.

For this week…

MIND

We have to take care of our self first, but a big part of what fills us up is filling others up. Even when we are at our lowest, taking time to encourage, help or lift someone up will always help to fill you up. We have to be intentional about giving others encouragement, noticing when someone needs help, and just smiling or saying hello to someone on the street.

Plain and simple. Encourage others. Be kind to everyone. Smile as much as you can. Pay attention to when someone needs a helping hand. Give someone your time, encouragement, smile and heart any chance you get.

Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those that hear them.  Ephesians 4:29

BODY

Most important this week, I want you to be sure that are giving your body the proper rest as well.

Many times we start thinking more is always better, and this is just not true. There are a few types of rest you might not think about.

First, your body needs at least 1-2 days of rest each week from exercise. Your muscles need recovery days. A day of rest can do wonders for your progress. If you exercise every single day, eventually you will suffer injuries, plateau or even reverse the progress you are making.

Your body NEEDS rest.

Secondly, your body also needs good rest at night. Be sure you are getting enough sleep and not running on empty. No matter what you are doing during the day, if your body is always low on rest, you won’t ever get to feel your absolute BEST.

Lastly, but just as important, you need rest from the hustle and bustle of life.

At least for me, success is not measured by how busy we are.

To feel your best, you need to take time to enjoy life, have quiet time with your family and friends, and take breaks from work. This balance can be hard to achieve, but well worth it. Keep trying and make sure you are taking breaks from the hustle. You and your family deserve it.

Thats it!

I will send some new workout ideas later this week.

Make it a great week!!
