#94: Are you exhausted trying to stay “good” with people?

“A prayer for the girl who’s tired of trying to please everyone in her life. Dear God, I have been giving so much of my energy trying to stay “good” with people, and it has left me exhausted, depleted, and constantly feeling taken advantage of. Lord, help me determine what I should say yes to and what I should say no to. And as I draw necessary boundaries, I ask for your peace to guard my heart and mind through difficult decisions and conversations. I ask today that you remind me of how much you love me so I’m less tempted to turn to others to fill me up with things that I really should be turning to you for, and only you can sustain the type of giving that a desperate soul longs for. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
