Be the One

Be the One

Over the years, I have tried harder to be myself, be brave and have the courage to follow my heart. Most of the time this takes me way out of my comfort zone, even though it is what I want. It is hard, but the reward is well worth it. Many of us struggle with following our dreams, being who we are and taking chances. I have read many books over the years to help me be brave, have courage and take these chances. These books have helped me personally so much, but I have learned over the last few years what has helped me even more. We get to do this life thing once and I want to show up as the real me and help others to do the same.

During the last few years, I have definitely stepped out of my comfort zone several times. So many emotions, but thankful I did and grateful for the people that encouraged me along the way. Yes…I want you to be THE ONE that steps out of your comfort zone and has the courage to be yourself, take chances, follow your dreams and take the path less traveled. Absolutely I do. You will be so thankful you did. But, more than that, be THE ONE that encourages another and supports them as they step out and take chances. Be that ONE too. Even if you would never do what they are doing. Even if you think they are crazy. Even if you wish you could have the courage to do what they are doing. Be the one to notice their courage and that they are following their dreams. These are the people that kept me going over the few last years when I sold my business, chose to homeschool my son and started a blog…yes a blog. I know not everyone wants to homeschool, but I am grateful for those that encouraged me along the way. I know not everyone wants to start, or even read a blog, but I am grateful for those that have encouraged me along the way.

Yes, I want to be the ONE for others. Take notice. Try to see who is stepping out and trying something new. Support and encourage in any way you can. It does not have to be your dream, it is theirs. This is our example and our lead for our children. Tell your kids to congratulate someone else. Be happy for your buddy that got to try something you did not. Send good thoughts their way. It makes all the difference for you and for them. We all want to be dreamers and doers, but it is hard to find the courage. Encouragement from others helps to fuel the courage.

  • It takes courage to be yourself.
  • It takes courage to take chances.
  • It takes courage to encourage someone else.
  • It takes courage to be kind when no one else is.
  • Be courageous. Be the encourager. It will help you find courage as well.
